The Quilting SIG (Special Interest Group) is sponsoring a Block of the Month quilt…...for Sew N Sew members. A pattern for a 12 ½ inch block (12-inch block after sewn into the quilt) will be emailed to those that are participating once a month for 12 months. It is suggested that two blocks be made from this pattern…one for the Club and one for themselves. The block for the Club would use red, white, and blue fabrics and at the end of the year, this quilt will be presented to a veteran. A second block would be created for personal use… using any color combinations that you want.
The March block will be shown at the March 10 SIG meeting. Hard copies of the directions will also be available at the Quilt SIG meeting.
Mary Pineda is chairperson for this activity…
Quilt SIG is open to all members of Sew N Sew Club who are interested in quilting….either as a novice or an experienced quilter. This is a social/discussion group….sewing is done on your own. Come…..learn…..meet other members interested in quilts.
Help is needed for more quilts to be sewn for veterans and shelters...come and help.
